Verify your identity (KYC / KYB)
To protect everyone on the network, AXON asks you to verify your identity before you move larger amounts or use business features. Verification is handled by our trusted partner Sumsub and usually takes a few minutes.
Personal verification (KYC)
- From your account, choose Verify identity.
- The Sumsub flow opens. Have a government‑issued ID ready (passport, ID card, or driver's licence).
- Follow the prompts — photograph your ID and, if asked, take a quick selfie.
- Submit. Your status moves to Pending while it's reviewed, then Approved (or Resubmission requested if something needs another try).
Once approved, you can send and receive without the starter limits.
Business verification (KYB)
If you operate as a company and want Business mode (distributions, instant funding, business settlements):
- Switch toward Business and choose Verify your business.
- Provide your company details and documents as prompted (registration, etc.).
- When your business is approved, AXON provisions a separate business wallet for it — your business funds never mix with your personal funds.
Status meanings
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Not started | You haven't begun verification. |
| Pending / In review | Submitted; we're reviewing. |
| Approved | You're verified — full access. |
| Resubmission requested | Something needs another try; reopen the flow and follow the note. |
| Rejected | Verification didn't pass; contact support. |
Good to know
- You can keep exploring most of the app while a check is pending.
- Verification is per‑profile: your personal check and your business check are separate.
- Your documents go directly to Sumsub for verification — AXON receives only the result.
